Preaching

God is everywhere. He really is. I don't even believe in him and I see him everywhere. I've found action figures of biblical figures. We are required to read it in my humanities class. There is a preacher on campus that a professor had to kick out. A bumper sticker on the car in front of you proclaims that "Real men pray."

I swear they're trying to bandwagon everyone into the religion. I've heard so many stories of girls converting because they fell in love with a Christian. The poor girl that wrote a speech expressing her opinions that God is a jerk for creating so much strife in Egypt (and killing all the firstborn sons) was just about stripped of all her dignity. Half the class was trying to kill her.

Wasn't this a country where individuality can exist? Where the state is separated from the church? Does that only apply to the government? Does state not refer to the citizens also? I don't mind a person being Christian. I do mind when a preacher claims, "Everyone needs to be saved, including you. Pray." I don't want to pray. I like to meditate better. Stop pushing religion onto others. All the religion gains is a bunch of people that don't really believe and who end up giving the religion a bad rap.

Think about that.

He may belong to a Protestant denomination, but that group is anti-God theologically liberal. He may claim to be "Christian" but by one's fruits he is known...Therefore, when Obama signs the "Hate Crimes" bill, he sides in with those who simply don't...

Are you nuts? Hate crimes should be punished and the bill doesn't just point to homosexuals but to all hate crimes. If you think the Lord is gonna have haters of others living with him, you better think again because it isn't going to happen.

I was informed by a preacher that meditation is actually a form of prayer. Praying is not limited to a particular act. I do not think religion is as important as really believing and having that connection with ones Creator. You see, establishing a connection with the creator is a greater challenge as is specially considering the presence of evil around us. A person can not find God in a specific religion. It can be find deep within ones self. It is when one reconciled with the conflicts going on and believing deep inside that there is this Divine Power that is above us all, one that we could surrender our spirit into and believe that despite the conflicts in this world, this device providence will always be with us.
