A summary from the US House of Representatives' Ethics Committee from this past July has been leaked to the Washington Post. The Ethics Committee monitors the US Representatives throughout the year by analyzing their financial dealings and travel and campaign donations received. The leaked document mentions 30 representatives. Some of the representatives that are facing the most scrutiny are Rep. James Moran, D-Va., Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., Rep. Peter Visclosky, D-Ind., and Rep. Nancy Kaptur, D-Ohio. Bottom row, from left are, Rep. Laura Richardson, D-Calif., Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Kan., Rep. C.W. Young, R-Fla., and Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. These representatives are currently under investigation with subpoena powers in reference to diverting funds to a now defunct lobbying firm called PMA. This type of corruption has been going on throughout both political parties. Hopefully, this ethics scandal will cause them to fly right in the future.
