Android 2.0 might be able to run on the T-Mobile G1

A lot of T-Mobile G1 owners out there myself included may be wondering if the new Android 2.0 will run on the T-Mobile G1. Well a hacker/modder Akira Harada has ported Android 2.0 to the T-Mobile G1/ HTC Dream. Now in the video the T-Mobile G1 is very slow with this port of Android, mainly because of the G1 limited hardware capabilities. As for the official version of Android 2.0 which will feature an improved camera functions such as flash & scene mode, multiple accounts can be added to devices for email & contact synchronization, improved web browser, improved virtual keyboard, Microsoft Exchange support. Below are two video's one is of the Hacked T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream running the ported version of Android 2.0, the other show's off the features of Googles upcoming Android 2.0. As for the official release of Android 2.0 since Google has released Android 2.0 for developers the release to Android based handsets shouldn't be to far off. And to learn more about the Android 2.0 features go to the Google Android Developers website.
