Ares V Benefits From Ares 1-X Test Flight

Orlando : FL : USA | 23 days ago
Views: 52

The Ares V heavy cargo space vehicle uses two of the solid rocket boosters similar to the Ares 1-X, plus a main stage similar to the Saturn V used on the Apollo missions to the moon.

If all goes well with the analysis of the Ares 1-X test flight and further development of the Ares 1, the Ares V will be critical to getting humans to the Moon and to Mars.

What's fantastic about these machines is their reliance on existing, proven technology, reusability, and availability of supply of talent, infrastructure and lower costs of space flight.
