More than 40 arrested at Jamrud, a young blast victim buried in Khyber

Security forces arrested more than fourty persons of tehsil Jamrud here on Friday. Security forces and political administration in a joint action raided on some villages in Shakas Jamrud in the mid night following a tip of information that some explosive laden vehicles were coming in Shakas area.

The security forces imposed curfew in the mid night time to launch search operation to apprehend the suspected militants in the Shakas area of Jamrud, sources told. Security forces wounded two persons with bullets shots when they unknowingly violated the curfew, the sources informed.

A local source from the area also told that the two injured persons succumbed to their injuries later on, but the official sources could not confirm it. The search operation was continuous till noontime on Friday. More than fourty local people were taken to the jail.

Meanwhile Yad Wali son of Javid was buried in Sultan Khel graveyard here on Friday. It is to be recalled that Yad Wali, 20 had just come from Karachi when he was blown in the Peshawar car bomb blast the other day. He had gone to Mina Bazaar for shopping as his marriage was expected soon after Eidul Azha, told his relatives. He had served for eight months in Karachi. His tragic death proved a great shock for his family.
