Good Start for the Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks are off to a good start in their season. The defeated the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night, taking their season opener for the third year in a row. They did not play their best defense, giving up 106 points. Yet they forced 25 turnovers and came with a balanced scoring attack. Joe Johnson put up 25 points. Al Horford had an amazing evening, scoring 24, with 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Josh Smith had 18 and had 8 assists. They played well as a team. The Hawks are looking good this season.

I agree. It was a solid team effort against Indiana. The whole starting line up had such a great rhythm going. If they keep spreading the wealth and diversifying the statistics across the entire roster, look for them to really make a strong push in the East. I still think Josh Smith has a lot more potential. Right now he's a solid player, but he's capable of being a great player, like Carmelo Anthony.
