Last night I wrote an article about Kimberly Daniels’ blog post about the demonic aspect of Halloween candy. She had claimed that witches pray over Halloween candy to curse it. She had posted it on CBN.com.

I basically made fun of the article.

Later when I checked back to see if anyone commented there was a post from a SallyM. She had copied and pasted the entire Kimberly Daniels article.

I think SallyM…might be...a WITCH!!! She came out of nowhere and magically found the entire article by Daniels.

Anyway, the entire article is in the comment section of my previous post.

But just cause I am who I am, I will now critique Kimberly Daniels’ article, titled The Danger of Celebrating Halloween.

The basic premise of the piece is to answer the question “is Halloween a holiday that Christians should be observing?”

Kimberly Daniels writes:

The word "holiday" means "holy day." But there is nothing holy about Halloween. The root word of Halloween is "hallow," which means "holy, consecrated and set apart for service." If this holiday is hallowed, whose service is it set apart for? The answer to that question is very easy—Lucifer's!

LMFAO!!! OMG THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!

…LUCIFER!!! Dun Dun Duuuuuunnnn!!!

I swear, do people just invent things for laughs? I can’t believe the kind of things people write about.

Here’s a quick history lesson concerning Halloween. Taken from the History Channel’s website:

The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities.

During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

By A.D. 43, Romans had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. In the course of the four hundred years that they ruled the Celtic lands, two festivals of Roman origin were combined with the traditional Celtic celebration of Samhain.

By the 800s, the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands. In the seventh century, Pope Boniface IV designated November 1 All Saints' Day, a time to honor saints and martyrs. It is widely believed today that the pope was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. Even later, in A.D. 1000, the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils. Together, the three celebrations, the eve of All Saints', All Saints', and All Souls', were called Hallowmas.

Halloween was set up by the Pope around 800 A.D. to honor the dead.

I have no idea where Lucifer got into Daniels’ article, but people making up their own history isn’t uncommon these days.

That is just the beginning of Daniels’ post. She continues:

Lucifer is a part of the demonic godhead. Remember, everything God has, the devil has a counterfeit. Halloween is a counterfeit holy day that is dedicated to celebrating the demonic trinity of : the Luciferian Spirit (the false father); the Antichrist Spirit (the false holy spirit); and the Spirit of Belial (the false son).

The key word in discussing Halloween is "dedicated." It is dedicated to darkness and is an accursed season. During Halloween, time-released curses are always loosed. A time-released curse is a period that has been set aside to release demonic activity and to ensnare souls in great measure.

Again, I have no idea where she’s getting her information from, but this is hilarious. She is so incorrect about everything.

She continues spinning by far one of the best Halloween stories I’ve heard in a while. She claims that she’s “prayed for witches who are addicted to drinking blood and howling at the moon.”

She warns that what everyone sees as harmless fun is actually hiding something sinister.

The word "occult" means "secret." The danger of Halloween is not in the scary things we see but in the secret, wicked, cruel activities that go on behind the scenes. These activities include:
Sex with demons
Orgies between animals and humans
Animal and human sacrifices
Sacrificing babies to shed innocent blood
Rape and molestation of adults, children and babies
Revel nights
Conjuring of demons and casting of spells
Release of "time-released" curses against the innocent and the ignorant.
Another abomination that goes on behind the scenes of Halloween is necromancy, or communication with the dead. Séances and contacting spirit guides are very popular on Halloween, so there is a lot of darkness lurking in the air.

Ahahahahaahaha!!!OMGLMFAO!!!WTF!!!LOL!!!!

Sex With DEMONS!!!!!

This stuff is great. This is what a Christian thinks is going on inside the homes of people celebrating Halloween? That is freaking hilarious.

Go on…what else?

There is no doubt in my heart that God is not calling us to replace fall festivals and Halloween activities; rather, He wants us to utterly destroy the deeds of this season. If you or your family members have opened the door to any curses that are released during the demonic fall festivals, renounce them and repent. I already have. Then declare with me: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!"

Do you want freedom from fear?

How does that work? How do people that make a living scaring the crap out of you, say with a straight face, with all intention on being taken seriously, “Do you want freedom from fear?”

Send your e-mail prayer request.

…excuse me what?

What the hell is an e-mail prayer request? Is there a Christian out there that can explain this to one? (If I haven’t offend you enough to e-mail a prayer request against me)

SallyM then wrote, after this fine Halloween story by Kimberly Daniels was finished...

About the author: Kimberly Daniels is a sought-after conference speaker and preacher. She is the founder of Kimberly Daniels Ministries International (kimberlydaniels.com), Spoken Word Ministries—the church she pastors in Jacksonville, Florida, with her husband, Ardell—A Child of the King Learning Center and Word Bible College. Kim is a recognized prophetic voice as well as the author of several books, including her most recent, Prayers that Bring Change (Charisma House).

OMG!!! She’s not some nobody, she’s actually an influential person in the Christian community. She’s “a recognized prophetic voice as well as the author of several books”. She’s “sought-after”.

Are you kidding me?

A person that believes witches curse candies on Halloween, actually shapes opinions.

I fear for her church members.

UPDATE: SallyM is not a witch, and she is not anyone that was trying to defend Kimberly Daniels' article either. In her words she is "Just someone who found this site while looking for the text of Ms. Daniels' Halloween drivel. My husband suggested I look in Google's cache for it & I thought I would share."

My apologies for being paranoid.

Thank you for this article. I had did an article this week about the Druids starting up Halloween, and in the comments, peeps were saying that I was wrong. This article proves that I have confirmation that my story was correct. It doesn't matter how many say that I am wrong, truth always prevails. Thanks again, amalgam80.

I am a Witch (Wiccan) and I don't do any of those negative things. Right now my three grandchildren are out trick-or-treating with the other neighborhood children. We will celebrate Samhain (the Pagan prequel to Halloween) next Saturday, giving honor to our ancestors and the nature spirits. No demons, devils, or other nasty things will be in attendance.

Thank you for this post. Though i do not believe that witch is related to the broom sticks or supernatural powers or even demon. I read in a number of books that witches are actually a member of a pagan religion called wica. They believe more on balancing the spiritual and physical vibes of our surrounding. That is all there is to it.
