Marijuana and other high profile drugs are clearly making their rounds in the NASA offices. Why might this be? Well first these so called geniuses thought it was a good idea to shoot a rocket at the moon to see if there was cheese or maybe water buried below the surface, now they are testing the effects of radiation on squirrel monkeys. Well, maybe drugs really aren’t circulating the NASA officers, but someone in charge is messed up in the head.
NASA scientists are stating the purpose of this experiment to test radiation on monkeys is to see how the harsh radioactive environment of space affects the human body and behavior. They hope to gain a better perspective on these issues in order to pursue future space endeavors outside of the Earth’s magnetic shield. In this study, approximately 20 or so monkeys will be exposed to “low” doses of radiation that would be similarly experienced if astronauts were to take a mission to Mars. Scientists will specifically be focusing how the radiation affects the central nervous system of these squirrel monkeys. The move to squirrel monkeys comes after numerous experiments were exhausted on mice and rats.
I don’t even know where to start as far as how many things I see wrong with these experiments on innocent monkeys. The NASA scientists are making these experiments seem completely harmless, yet they want to know how it affects the central nervous system of the monkeys? If these doses are so low why don't the NASA people be the test subjects? This is clearly a cheap ploy by these so called geniuses to keep animal rights activists’ off their backs. These types of experiments make me sick and I hope that PETA and other animal rights organizations come gun’s a blazing on NASA. Why is it that animals are always the ones sacrificed for such pointless experiments?
For experiments such as these and others to be stopped, the world’s citizens need to make their voices heard and felt. Please if you care about these beautiful creatures do something today to put an end to harmful and dangerous experimentation. Let us be the voices that these creatures don’t have!
