PUMPKINS SPICE UP THE LIVES OF HAZELTON STUDENTS

Picture this: You get home from work and as you enter the house, something strikes your senses immediately. It's warm, it's spiced, and it goes perfectly with the voices of your wife and children as it all sensuously encircles you... The image warms the very soul. Thanks to the Adopt-a-School program, the students in Mrs. Delgado's class were able to share in a seasonally heart-warming experience. Pumpkins were donated and docents were present to help the children measure them, weigh them, and then explore the juicy, seedy meat that hides inside the beautiful, burnt-orange rind. For some children, an opportunity like this one does not come around every day, and as we draw nearer to the wonder holiday season of Thanksgiving, such a wonderful gift is sure to warm the hearts of it's recipients. The Adopt-a-School program is just one of the many possibly ways of enriching student's daily experiences, and it is the responsibility of all to work toward the betterment of our children's education.
