Tim Donaghy, the former NBA referee who is currently in prison for fixing NBA games for a sports betting operation, has been attempting to sell a tell-all book about how the NBA fixes games. The title of the book, "Blowing the Whistle: The Culture of Fraud in the NBA," was scheduled to be released next month by Triumph Books, a parent company of Random House Publishing. The book was going to reveal how he fixed games as an NBA referee. Well, the NBA sent a letter to Random House threatening to sue if the book was published. Random House cowered to the threat and decided not to publish the book. However, there are other publishers lining up to publish the book. So be on the lookout to see which publisher will win the bid to publish the Donaghy scandal.

This ref is just BAD NEWS.

This guy is just a disappointment. By doing what he did, he completely deprived the fans, coaches, players, etc. of fair NBA basketball. I don't know if there are still officials out there fixing games, or if the league is involved, but I definitely saw some terrible, unbelievable calls throughout last season. Hopefully it's not true.

I want the book to come out because it feels like the NBA is rigged. Go to 82games.com and you will see that the point totals in games are determined by the referees.

it doesn't matter what the nba says. Tim Donaghy has the right to publish this book. this is a right to all people in the U.S. to be able to publish a book if they reach a deal with a publishing company. i will say i don't like Donaghy for setting games up but if more people are involved this could give evidence to that but than again he could be a lier. nba commissioner david stern doesn't even want to ponder that the games are as deeply set up as Donaghy wants to tell. anybody can make an attempt to sue anybody but this nba lawsuit is not legit from a legal standpoint.
