There's racism EVERYWHERE!! Even within families!! within schools, the workplace, churches, communities, ballgames etc.. there is NO ESCAPE> Just do what you can to be polite to all people. Respect eachother, don't tear eachother down or do any name-calling.

I believe there is some confusion in this test. They are not measuring Racism, they are measuring prejudice. Racism, by definition, is believing everyone of a specific race has specific qualities, good or bad. This test is measuring people's preconceived notions of specific groups in society.

Even those who are measured to have prejudice against a specific racial group tend not to be actual racists. They hate everyone and everything alien to their world view. Xenophobia (fear of things that are alien, or different, from one's self) is a better descriptor for those individuals.

The Holocaust is a case of prejudice against a specific religious belief. Yeah, Hitler was a self-hating Xenophobe. He hated everything that conflicted with his ideal world view. He was a short, dark haired Jew. His ideal was a tall, blond Aryan. He used the world as his therapy couch.

Society does affect our world view and beliefs as does our positions within that society. Sub-societies exist within larger societies. Take Somalia, for example. African exterminating African because they were descended from a particular group of Africans. Is that racism? Genetically, they are of the same race. This is extermination of a particular ethnicity within a race, so it is not racism. Again, it is xenophobia, fear of what is different.

Who is therefore racist? Let's take the case of Chris Rock. He (perhaps jokingly) believes all white men hate all black men. Is he racist? No. Homo sapiens sapiens is our race. We are all the same race whether we are white, black, red or yellow. He hates that which is different from him, so he is a Xenophobe. He uses his phobia to fuel his comedy. How the world would have been different if people had laughed at Hitler's jokes...
