A dead body in a barrel
The police have retrieved a barrel from a lake in Melbourne after there were complaints of a foul smell emanating from the waters. Inside the barrel was a decomposed dead body of an aged woman Lucia Amenta who had been missing for the last two years. This is an un-natural death and obviously the woman was murdered and her body was put in a barrel and dumped in the lake. The identity has been established and the police are clueless – they have interrogated the husband and son of the dead grandmother and have requested locals to come forward with any information that they might have. The initial investigation is centering on the barrel – where did it come from? An answer to this question might provide vital clues to the murder.
