Dr. David Butler-Jones adives with Halloween around the corner and the increasing panic in ralation to the H1N1 pandemic, that parents do not need to cancel their Halloween plans. This reasuring advice after 2 teens have been killed this week in Ontario with the H1N1 virus.

This strain of the seasonal flu virus differs in that youth are more suseptable to serious ilness if they were to contract the H1N1 virus. A few tips to keep in mind to stay safer is to send children out with handsanitizers to wash often. For the teenagers and adults who are planning to go to parties, avoid sharing drinking glasses. If there is anyone who is currently ill, especially children, they should not go out this year.

    People need to stop giving out home made candy, especially now with this H1N1 flu going around. It's Halloween, not a picnic. Parents need to look out for that kind of stuff. Store packaged candy should be okay. The best thing to do is staying sanitized at all times.
