Buckingham Palace, children of all races introduced peace and harmony to start the countdown of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.As the palace engulf with Sanskrit chants

The Queen of England launched the Baton Relay that marks the official countdown to this much awaited event.

Torch bearers are compose of well known sports personalities such as boxing sensation Vijender Singh,shooter Abhinav Bindra and the following wrestlers Milkha Singh,Kapil Dev,Sushil Kumar,Tirkey and Karnam Malleswari.

The baton relay ceremony made a historical memories,because for the first time a host nation's President was present to received the Commonwealth Queen's Baton.As the South Asian Classical group performs.

The 190000 kms baton relay and over 340 days will mark the longest in history of Commonwealth Games.President Pratibha Patil of india will join other important dignitaries at the launch ceremony at the Buckingham Palace.
