Just Outside My Window

I heard them whizzing past up in the sky, jet after jet after jet after jet, all of them heading somewhere towards the South. They were going too fast to be commercial airliners, and besides, Kiryat Arba is way off the path of incoming and outgoing flights from Ben Guryon. What's up? Machane Charsina, where the 101st is garisoned, 101 whose logo is the winged snake, has a large, pleasantly green sign posted near its entrance: "Machar Milchama (tomorrow is war)". Hizbollah's been lobbing rockets at the Galil. Demagogues have been inciting riots in Jerusalem. What's going on? From outside my window, I hear them whizzing past, way too fast, heading South somewhere, flying over Chevron on their way to wherever they're going. Gaza? Iran via Saudi Arabia? Egypt? By the time the news figures it out, it will have happened already. But I hear whatever is happening happening outside my window. I just don't know what it is.
