Peshawar : Pakistan | about 1 month ago
Views: 51

The car bomb went off in the Peepal Mandi marketplace in Peshawar and killed at least 90 apart from injuring another 160 odd. The market deals in grocery and household goods and the dead were mostly innocent women and children. The bombing coincided with the visit of a delegation of top diplomats from Washington. The fingers of suspicion point towards the Taliban. The hilly terrain between Pakistan and Afghanistan is the prefect hideout of the Taliban who continue their sudden assaults. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that Washington fully supported the battle that Pakistan is raging in its efforts to contain the threats of the Taliban.
