The Bears got owned by the Bengals

Chicago : IL : USA | about 1 month ago
Views: 10

What a debacle Sunday afternoon. The Chicago Bears, a possible NFC playoff team, got completely run over by the Cincinnati Bengals and former Bear running back Cedric Benson. The Bears defense looked completely unprepared for the Bengals potent offense. On the otherside ot the ball the Bears offense had a hard time getting off the ground. So far the season has been one of inconsistency with a hard fought win with last years super bowl winner Pittsburgh Steelers but bone headed losses that are exampled by the Packers and this last game. It looks like this season will continue in that direction so get your seatbelts fastened and crash helmets on!

I keep thinking I'm misspelling it!  It'll be Cincy from hereon out). It's been a busy week in the wonderful world of the Chicago Bears this week.  Probably the busiest I can remember in recent years.  It even started before last week's game, with...

Less than a week after the Bears looked totally unprepared for the Falcons and their no-huddle offense, they looked even worse facing the Bengals. It is Lovie's Tampa-2 or Cover-2 that Carson Palmer completely dissected for 5 TD passes. ...

Yes it was certainly a sad site to behold. They had played so well up until this game (well not every game before this one but a couple of really good games). Hopefully they can re-focus and get it going again.

The biggest concern I've seen thus far has been a change of philosophy since Cutler has arrived. The Bears used to be about hard nosed football, with a strong emphasis on running the ball, keeping the other team's offense off the field, and a strong defense. This is not the same Bears team we're used to seeing, and unless they find a way to get back to "their" way of playing I fear it'll be a long season.
