OK here we go! In less than an hour (keep your fingers crossed) we'll have the launch of what may become our beachhead into the next great economic boom, not just for NASA, not just for Florida and not just for the USA - but for all, for the next generation of space exploration - the next big thing that will ignite industries such as computers, networking, communications, navigation, materials, environmental engineering, farming and agriculture, practically all sciences ... and hence the benefits will be felt financially as well as in our day-to-day quality of life. Simple things we take for granted, like our UV protective sunglasses, came from the necessity of protecting our astronauts eyes during their first space walks several decades ago.

Now, if we can just figure out how to control the weather.
