87 died in Car Bomb last at Peshawar

PESHAWAR: More than 87 people were killed in a Car Bomb Blast at Meena Bazar Peshawar the most busy and popular market of women at Peshawar. City Chief Police Officer told this scribe that A heavy bomb had fixed in a car and was blown up with remote control it was not a suicide bomb blast he added. A police officer on the condition of anonymity told our correspondent that they continuously receiving thread from suicide bombers for suicide attack and they did suicide blast at Peshawar hence this was a Car bomb blast not a suicide. Eyewitness said that more than 87 people were died while 200 were badly injured and condition of some injured are serious. They told that this bomb was blasted a few hours before arrival of US foreign secretary. Hence no group have accepted responsibility of this bomb blast. Provincial Information Minister of NWFP Mian Iftikhar confirmed death of 87 people while he was talking to median men at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

Meena Bazar is usually full and having great rush of women and Children. The terrorists blast this bomb before a few hours of arrival of Hilary Clinton US foreign secretary who was coming to Peshawar. Majority of dead bodies were identified of women and Children. Eye witness also complained of late coming of Fire Brigade they said that due to bomb blast the old buildings catch fire and were gutted but fire brigade could not reached time to overcome spreading the fire as a result more shops also came under fire and people inside these shops were burnt. Death toll rate might be increased due to critical condition of some injured persons. It is worth to mention here that a few weeks back 52 people had died in a car bomb blast at Khyber Bazar Peshawar.
