The Economic Coordination Committee of the cabinet has formed a committee to analyze the issue of proposed natural gas load management programme for winter 2009-10.

The committee compriing the federal ministers for petroleum and natural resources, finance, industries, agriculture, textile, water and power and deputy chairman of planning commission will submit its repot to the cabinet.
The ECC met under the chairmanship of federal minister for finance, Shaukat Tarin in Islamabad.
The ECC gave approval that ex-depot sale price of motor gasoline will be based on the denatured ethanol distillery quoted price of 36.50 rupees per litre and maintaining differential of 2.50 rupees per litre vis-à-vis normal grade gasoline through petroleum levy adjustment on e-10 of 6.90 rupees per litre.
The above arrangement would be effective for a trial period of next two years. The ECC was also updated by the ministry of finance about the national economy. It noted with satisfaction that the monthly core inflation rate has decreased from 12.61 percent in august, 2009 to 11.9 percent in September, 2009.
