Fierce exchange of firing between Taliban militants and Afghan Security personnel in main Kabul city in the early hours of Wednesday. UN Foreign staff members reportedly killed in the attack among three suicide attackers.

According to Afghan official sources on Wednesday at 6:00 am ,some Taliban militants wearing suicide jackets attacked a UN base guest house in the main city of Kabul (shar-e-Naw) among which one attackers wearing suicide vest ,blew himself up while entering into guest house. Sources said that intense firing started between Taliban militants having automatic machine guns ,and security forces of Afghanistan due to which fear and anxiety spread in all Kabul city. Meanwhile, Afghan security forces and US led NATO army personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The firing was heard in all kabul city. Sources confirmed that after the hours long fighting the main roads goes to city reopened after the Afghan security forces and NATO forces controlled upon the situation.

Some Sources told that the attackers who were three also killed among the staff members of UN adding that as there were six UN foreigners employees have also been killed in the attack.

Taliban Militants spokesman claimed the responsibility for the attack as they have already warned the afghan people and organizations not to participate in the runner-off election. Taliban spokesman added that The attack was carried out due to the UN involvement and organizing the runner-off election in Afghanistan.

After the Taliban militants attack on UN guest house a rocket was also fired on Kabul Serena hotel but the sources said there was no human casualty reported in the attack. It is to be mentioned that during the attack on the same hotel in 2008 as many six persons were killed in the Taliban suicide assault on the same hotel.

It is the fourth worst attack of Taliban in main Kabul city from August 2009 in which dozens of civilians, Afghan security personnel and US soldiers have been killed.
