Snow hit last night for the first time welcoming in the old man winter! Repostings of 8-10 inches accumulating told us that maybe El Ninio may not be here as previously anticipated. Winter showing up this early, brings hope and anticipation to the local Ski resorts throughout Washington to make up for a dismal season last year. Chains were not required but snow tires were advised being the first snow of the season. DOT operators warned drivers to use extra caution as there is still one lane both ways on I-90 due to construction and re-surfacing of the roads. This project is expected to end by mid November according to a DOT employee who wishes to remain nameless at this time. however the whole project is expected to last until 2013 when the new I-90 will be completed.
