Primordial records prove Hindus’ baleful abhorrence and antipathy for the Muslims, who were diametrically opposed to archaic Hindus dogmas and therefore, they were termed as ‘*Maleech’* (unclean foreigners)by the narrow-minded *Pandats*. Perhaps Prof. Samuel P. Huntington’s world famous Clash of Civilization Theory best proves in this Sub-Continent where Muslims and Hindu faiths are entangled in a continuous conflict, since 712 A.D., when first Muslims set foot on this Sub-Continent.

Soon after the partition of Sub Continent, the successive Indian governments have adopted an offensive approach towards Muslims in general and Pakistan in particular. On one hand, they still cannot pardon the first Hindu who embraced Islam at the hands of invading conqueror Mohammad Bin Qasim, and at the same time, they want all Muslims to revert back to Hindu fold as well.
In other words, Hindus has never accepted the partition of this holy
motherland and formation of a ‘greater India’ is an inherent desire of all
the Hindus- whether secular or fundamental. What really was an ideological clash since 1947, has now turned into a full-fledged clash of civilizations after the 9/11. It is, in fact, a clash of two conflicting mindsets. One wishes for peace and the other yearns for total subjugation of all other faiths with ultimate formation of ‘Hindu Raj.’

Muslims and Hindus are prisoners of history in this continent where
religious convictions and creeds have profound impacts over human minds and national psychology. With the advent of the British, the religious and social differences were further encouraged by the English under a planned policy of ‘divide and rule.’ The historic divide of 1947 simply augmented this division and it only changed forms. For Pakistani policy makers, it was an apparent culmination of their historical conflict with Indians but for the Hindu establishment, deeply influenced by the political philosophical of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Pandat Jawarlal Nehru, it was the beginning of a new and more powerful covert battle with Muslims- to be fought by their civil-military establishment and spy agencies. The purpose was to engage
Pakistan in more than one way to weaken it. Actually, the military policy makers in India have, by tradition, been overwhelmingly in support of a policy of aggressively countering Pakistan. Indian purpose has always been to malign and disparage Pakistan; especially its Army and peaceful nuclear programme, in the eyes of the West and the USA and to emerge as a regional mini super power. For this, Indian defence budget for the year 2009-10, has been increased by 34.19 per cent over the previous year’s budget estimates of Rs. 1, 05,600 crores. Defence spending would grow by 25 per cent in 2009-10 to $29.39 billion. It has also been planned to spend $30 billion on imports over the next four years to modernize India’s largely Soviet-era
arms as it is eager to show strong military presence in South Asia.
Meanwhile, Indian minorities especially the Muslims are living a dog’s life
and the six members Rajinder Sachar Committee report, about the state of Muslim minority in India, released in the end of November 2006, has horrifically disclosed that the overall conditions of the majority of Indian Muslims are worse than that of even the Dalits while Muslims shape 13 per cent of India’s total population but they have only 6.4 per cent of government jobs. The percentage of Muslim employees in the judiciary stands only at 8 per cent and they make up a large percentage of those in prisons.
Even in the political spectrum, Muslims have been under-represented, both in the Lok Sabha and in the State Assemblies. And, Muslims enrollment and retention rates in primary and secondary level institutions are also lower than the national average.

Meanwhile, the fall of Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001, paved the way for India, to get involved there and secure it’s long waited strategic interest vis-à-vis Pakistan. The strategic setting of Afghanistan provides a perfect conduit for India to break into the resource rich Baluchistan and sponsor local centrifugal forces with arms and money. India has speciously established its more than two dozen so called ‘consulates’ along Pakistan-Afghanistan borders and effectively used some of them to channel arms and money into Baluchistan and FATA. Christine Fair of U.S. RAND Corporation, who has visited one of Indian ‘consulates’ established near the borders of Pakistan, has highlighted their sinister roles in fomenting
dangers in Pakistan during one of her television interviews. Similarly,
India’s involvement has also been highlighted by another Western journalist Laura Rozen in her article published in one of the Foreign Policy magazines.
This situation has created serious problems for Pakistan, as its security is at stake and Pakistan genuinely feels threatened with India’s mounting sway in bordering Afghanistan. Analysts believe that with the opening of Indian consulates near Pakistani borders and an Indian Air Base in Farkhor in Tajikistan, which is used for channeling large sacks of money and intelligence officials to foment trouble in Baluchistan and FATA, Pakistan finds itself completely encircled by India.

Pakistan is a victim of world’s most complex great game ever played by the nations in which CIA, Mossad, Indian external intelligence agency R.A.W, German BND and British MI-16 have pooled their resources and assets to weaken Pakistan from within. Every intelligence agency operational in our immediate periphery in Afghanistan is working for the interest of its respective country besides, lodging a covert and complex diabolical fighting against Pakistan, which has further necessitated the need to save Pakistan’s vital national interests. For this purpose, our policy makers, establishment, media and the academe should work in unison to help save our strategic interests and borders. It is further desirable that South Asian Study Centres and Area Study Centres working in universities should be made
more functional and vivacious to conduct research on issues of national
security and policy planning paradigms should be academically studies in universities, as well.

Our Baluchistan province is full of natural resources and minerals. It has
Sui gas, Sandak copper-gold and huge reserve of oil and gas, which, if used properly, can help develop this province more meaningful to live in. This is, indeed, a defining moment for Pakistan and the whole nation is fighting the multiple of post 9/11 twinges with full vigor. It seems Pakistan is more impinged on by 9/11 than the USA itself. However, armed forces definite strike against Taliban will indeed help to get rid of our fifth columnists and foreign sponsored terrorists who have hijacked the whole country with their terroristic threatening.
