Most wanted Dacoit Samar Qand shot dead

LANDIKOTAL: Chief of a dacoits group, Samar Qand, was shot dead in a cross firing with the house-inmate late Sunday night when he along with his group tried to steal valuables from a house in Pirokhel of Landikotal subdivision.

Sources said that Samar Qand along with some other dacoits had entered at 12pm Sunday night to the house of Mustaqeem and fastened the house inmate. Samar Qand and others dacoits were collecting valuables from cupboards and boxes when Akram, 14,son of Mustaqeem opened firing on dacoits from the other room and killed Samar Qand on the spot.Dacoits also retaliated and fired on the house inmates. While, the rest escaped the scene leaving the house inmates and valuables behind. Samar Qand was wanted to local administration in many cases of car lifting, kidnapping for ransom, decoities.
