Unknown assailants riding a Motocycle opened indiscriminate firing on the minister when he got out of his car at the main gate of his residence. The minister died on the spot while a magistrate was injured. The injured magistrate has been shifted to the hospital, where his condition is stated to be out of danger. Police cordoned off the area and started search for the assailants. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani have condemned the assassination of Balochistan education minister and ordered immediate enquiry into the incident and arrest of the culprits.
