Limbaugh not man enough on hoax story

... wow, this was actually from Free Republic.
Jabba the Rush

I try to ignore the Fat Man.

I really do, but sometimes he is so ridiculous and so outrageous that the thought anyone with a three-digit IQ could be taking him seriously makes me fear for our future.

Our buddy Jabba the Rush got a story off a Website that fit right in with his world view, that Barack Obama hates capitalism and the free market and wants to redistribute income.

It was supposedly from a thesis Obama wrote as an undergraduate at Columbia University, and Rush flogged it on his radio show the other day.

Except it wasn't true.

Except that it was from a satire site and was actually marked as satire. There was no truth to it at all, except for the fact that Obama did write a thesis. It was about nuclear arms reduction and had nothing to do with capitalism, the free market or income redistribution.

Here's the thing.

Rush doesn't do corrections. Rush doesn't admit mistakes.

When he went far beyond the pale in 1993 and ran a picture on his TV show calling 13-year-old Chelsea Clinton "the White House dog," he never admitted responsibility for it. He blamed it on a technician, even though the show was taped earlier in the day.

It was a blatant lie and he wasn't man enough to admit it.

When he said Vince Foster had been found dead in a Washington apartment and moved to Potomac Park and that Hillary Clinton had owned the apartment, he never admitted that he was wrong.

He wasn't man enough.

Now he's been caught again, and once again he wasn't man enough. After flogging the thesis story for hours and finally learning it was a hoax, he said there was no reason to apologize because he knew Obama really believed everything that was in the phony thesis.

Once again, Rush wasn't man enough to admit he was wrong.

He's a pretty big guy, but you could look through every inch of his body and you wouldn't find a man.

    Hey Mike,

I hope you were that much up in arms when the mainstream media ran with the false racial comments that they finally had to retract.

Did you mention anything in you report about the retractions that CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the friendly Obama media had to flush down the toilet because of sloppy investigative reporting?

Sorry, Red. The difference here is that when Jabba learned it was wrong, he said he didn't care because he believed it was true anyway.

You rip on my awesome Ode to Rush Limbaugh, and then you attempt to pile on my accolades of ripping on Rush Limbaugh with this article. Anyway, calling Limbaugh Jabba the Rush is insulting to Jabba the Hut. You knew that Limbaugh wasn't going to admit that he was duped; he's a former drug addict. Of course admittance of wrong is hard for him to do.
  • Reply By Write4Life Write4Life | about 1 month ago
I suppose former drug addict is something he will always be tagged with but many people believe the proper terminology is recovering.

Also, it's unfair to tag that on a person who was prescribed the pain medication for spinal surgery. I do not want to sound like I am advocating for his abuse - I am not... But, I know many people who after back surgery - or other major surgeries, who have battled a war against these prescription medications. They are dangerous and it is more common place than one might be lead to believe... and.... an ass is an ass and that's regardless of being high or not high - so I think people need to back off the former drug abuses of those who have successfully cleaned up their act.

Limbaugh...what a great reflection of the right.

you know, it doesn't take long for a person on the right to do something hypocritcal.

After having whined about not being allowed to buy a football team because of being a racist, Limbaugh cried about news organizations wrongfully attributing two quotes that were a little too in your face to actually have been from limbaugh.

The news organizations retracted the false claims, all the while reenstating the racist remarks that were true.

A few days later Limbaugh, enjoying his codine a little too much, decided to air a unchecked bogus story about a thesis Obama wrote while in college.

The story originally being from a parody site was obviously fake.

Being the giant hypocrite that he is, didn't retract the story, but said that the basic nature of the parody was true.

In real life Obama thinks that the Constitution has its shortcomings, or least that's what the Rushlicans think.

Proving once again that the Conservative world is a world of hypocrites and morons.

All the people that retracted their stories about Rush should now re-state it, citing that deep inside we know that Rush really is a racist, so we can make up any old racist remark and attribute it to him, purely on the bases of the fact that "we just know it to be true". It just feels like it'd be true.

Rush reminds me of a local journalist here named Louie Beltran ( RIP ) who ripped through speculations and regarded them trusted sources. Once he wrote on his article 20 years ago that former president Corazon Aquino hid under her bed during the 1987 coup attempt. The former president showed to media her closed bottom bed where she allegedly hid in fear as Mr. Beltran so eloquently put it. He never admitted his false accusation.

    M,

Rush Limbaugh has been saying these things about Obama for awhile now. Anyone that has followed Obama's style close enough understands his dislike for Capitalism & free markets and we all know that he is intent on redistributing wealth. That this phony report came out, made no difference in his opinion of Obama. If there is such a report out there, I am surprised if it ever comes out because every pertinent personal school or medical record from this man, is no where to be found.

Wow Mike! We've all seen your picture, and I've got to say...you calling Limbaugh the "fat man" and "Jabba" is a great example of the pot calling the kettle black. I know that leftists are fond of projecting their own foibles on conservatives, but I didn't think it extended to girth as well. It'd be an exercise in futility to ask you to reflect on the merits and efficacy of your Marxist worldview, but do you think you could at least take a look at yourself in the mirror before you throw stones from your glass house?
  • Reply By CaliforniaMike CaliforniaMike | about 1 month ago
Sorry, Chief, but I've never weighed anywhere near 360.

As for Marxist, do you even know what it means?
  • Reply By krimp krimp | about 1 month ago
Chief? Ouch! That really hurts. So, according to your logic, those of us well under your generous poundage are free to criticize you as a “fat man”. Of course, that would mean we would have reduced ourselves as you have done, to hurling prepubescent ad hominem insults rather than using reasoned arguments against our ideological opponents. When someone resorts to that, you know they've lost the debate and are just lashing out in resultant frustration.

As for what is a Marxist? I can’t possibly give such an all-encompassing system of thinking the pithy little one liner you’re probably looking for. I’m also not sure what you on the left have redefined it as these days. You're always trying to hide from labels and definitions that would identify you as someone who supports repeatedly failed systems of government. You always reinvent names for yourselves so that your trail can't be uncovered. Yesterday's Marxists are today's neo-Progressives. Same old recycled ideas of state enforced redistribution of wealth, a state controlled economy and social welfare system, wealth-creators evil...worker class virtuous, and the vested interest in bringing on the class struggle that will make everyone equally miserable under this crushing, oppressive, totalitarian STATE.

How about someone with an undying devotion to building Utopia. A lesson apparently lost on you guys from Sir Thomas More's work of the same name meaning "no place" in Greek. As in, it doesn't exist and NEVER WILL because it's NOT POSSIBLE. Yes, I'm sorry, you can stop the endless playing of John Lennon's Imagine in your brain. Never gonna happen!

Do I need to go on? Ok, if I must...how about the unquenchable seizure of power by the STATE and using any means available to do so. As in Rahm Emmanuel's “Rule one: Never allow a crisis to go to waste, they are opportunities to do big things.” As in Health Care has to be overhauled RIGHT NOW, and we're going to make it impossible for you to read the legislation that will accomplish that by not allowing members of Congress to read the 1000+ pages of mind deadening legaleze before they vote on it. That's the transparency in government Obama promised us. As in we're experiencing the first depression in seventy years and must pass this "stimulus" bill immediately that will help accrue a deficit larger than the deficits of all 43 prior administrations combined since the founding of the Republic. Just crank up the money machines! The ignorant masses won't know the full effects until after my reelection in 2012. (God forbid!) Their children and grandchildren will be saddled with the overwhelming burden. And what's better? There's nothing they can do about it, but rely on the STATE to give them their weekly roll of toilet paper, and all of the other splendidly rationed necessities of life. They will be the slaves, excuse me, proletariat, excuse me, “working people” (gotta keep up with the linguistic evolution) that will help this Utopia just barely get by. But, of course, the elite who govern will deserve the best that Utopia can provide. Oh no! They will not have the same crappy medical care of the "working people". They will not have the cheap single ply toilet paper the rest of us will get. Because their brilliance hath wrought this Paradise and they deserve far better. Cronyism, Oligarchy, Kleptocracy, Corporatism, Fascism...these are the actual systems that will emerge. Never fails.

Oh! And let's not forget the biggest "crisis" scam being used to redistribute wealth on an international scale..."Global Warming"! I'm sorry...you're calling it "Climate Change" now, due to the undeniable cooling trend we've experienced in the last decade. Must remember, Utopia will be ushered in through a constant revision of history and terminology so that the ignorant masses won't understand what's happening. What a brilliant strategy the Western European Marxists came up with in the 80’s when they saw their beloved Soviet Union dying. Hey! All will not be lost! Let’s bring about international economic parity (world-wide misery) by enforcing a wealth stifling protocol of regulating the means of production through eco-socialism. Let’s not call ourselves red anymore, although we are that. We will add to our brand the greenness of the ecology movement. And thus they proudly called themselves “watermelons”. Red on the inside, green on the outside. Alas, that term is no longer in fashion, as it risked revealing the symbiotic bond between the two movements. They, red and green, would help each other achieve their separate goals.

Need more Mike? I can do that, but I’m getting tired now. I’m sure that won’t come close to your sophisticated, nuanced, and ever-changing version of Marxism. A version that is sure to veil and obfuscate the driving ideology behind President Obama. Ok, I’m ready for my gratuitous ad hominem attack now. You can’t use “fat man” though. I’m only 160 1bs. The usual will suffice here. You know...homophobe, racist, sexist, religious fanatic, uncompassionate, greedy...blah...blah...blah. And then, everyone will snicker at the imbecile you demolished with your superior intellect and polished arguments.

I don't listen to Limbaugh and if he hasn't acknowledged the hoax, he needs to. Others certainly have. Which is more than has been done by the "Progressives" (Regressives) about Limbaugh's phony slavery/James Earl Ray comments. The thing is...who needs a hoax to prove the point about Obama's ideology? There are plenty of Youtube video clips, audio clips, his own writings, and autobiographies...his surrounding himself with Marxist/revolutionary friends and mentors throughout his life...and his choosing of self-avowed communist Van Jones, and Mickey Maoists Anita Dunn and Ron Bloom for high profile positions in his administration. Honestly, venture out of your echo chamber once in a while and learn something!
