Three recent but separate stories in the news related to racism in America:

A well known bar in Chicago is in trouble for denying the 6 black students into the restaurant, while letting the other students in.

Dallas police officers are in trouble for issuing 36 tickets in three years to drivers that couldn’t English.

The third one is the accusations that CAIR, a Muslim rights group, is trying to infiltrate the government to “Islamize” the nation. Four Congressmen have asked the Department of Justice to investigate CAIR.

“Baggy Jeans”

Ah the ol’ “you can’t some in here if you have baggy jeans on” trick.

200 students from Washington University in St. Louis were on a class trip. When as a class they tried to go to “Mother’s”, 6 African-American men were denied enry.

They were told their jeans were to baggy.

One of the students didn’t buy it and switched jeans with a shorter, white student and was still denied entry, while the white student was allowed to enter.

The students are consider a lawsuit.

As someone that has been denied entry into the club for having baggy jeans and then changing, coming back and still being denied entry, I hope they sued and win.

“How do you say racist in Spanish?”

In the past three years police officers in the city of Dallas have been handing out tickets that to people who couldn’t communicate in English.

The officers would see as an option on the computer that not being able to speak English is an offense and the officers would charge the driver with an extra offense.

The law is actually there to apply to commercial drivers, not private drivers.

The police officers either did not know what the nature of the law was or they didn’t care. The fine is $204 dollars.

An investigation is being conducted, but the reason for the issuing of the tickets is being blamed on ignorance and not intentional racism.

In my opinion, based on something I researched and wrote about four years ago, this was not purely bad cop work. This was racism.

Police officers in a suburb of Chicago (Elmhurst) were reported by me comcerning a game they play.

One of my friends from high school went on to become a police officer in Elmhurst. There he saw other police officers betting on who can charge the most minorities.

The game went something like, who can pull over the most black and latin people, who can charge them with the most amount of offenses and crimes. Who can charge them with the most serious crime.

I had interviewed my friend who was a cop there and one more police officer there (but he didn’t know he was being interviewed, he was just bragging and joking about it with me).

Nothing really happened with that story. It wasn’t published anywhere, even though I mailed the story to 8 local newspapers.

But getting back to the Dallas incidence, it could very well be that this is a case of not doing your job well, but my faith in the internal investigation by the Dallas department to be objective is low.

The police department does not need to make itself look bad in the media, and it won’t. It is far easier to say that the police officers that were responsible for issuing those tickets were not being racist, they were being lousy cops.

“The Muslims Are Trying To Have A Presence In Washington”

There are a handful of Congressmen asking (unofficially) the Department of Justice to investigate CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) for being connected to Hamas and trying to have a presence in Washington for Jihadist purposes.

The accusations are primarily backed by a book authored by anti-Muslim extremists from the right.

The book is entitled “Muslim Mafia” and is circulated by World News Daily. I’ve reported on World News Daily before. They are the right-wings conspiracy theory section.

World News Daily, along with this conspiracy theory also pushes the “Obama was born in Kenya” theory, “FEMA camps are set up to lock up Americans” and “Obama is a Muslim” theory.

The Republican Party buys World News Daily’s mailing list.

The accusations being made by the Congressmen and the right-media is that because CAIR has been connected to Hamas and has never publically come out and said they do not support terrorism and terrorist groups, they can not be trusted to be interns in Washington.

The claims are totally false.

Muslims and Muslim groups are also being accused of never speaking out against terrorism.

I have found myself in my arguments on Allvoices about that very same accusation. And my answer is always the same, “we have, you just don’t listen to us.”

CAIR has repeatedly spoken out against terrorism, terrorist groups, Hamas, Al Qaeda etc.

You just can’t tell from the media coverage.

You ever notice that the only time a Muslim ends up being discussed in the media is when he or she is being accused of something?

Even when it’s the Muslim doing the accusing.

When Muslim girls sued Abercrombie for not hiring them, people accused the girls of trying to get attention and claiming that Abercrombie doesn’t make clothes that Muslims can wear, so why would a Muslim even want to work there.

Well Abercrombie does make clothes that Muslims can wear and even the girls that wear scarves.

But I digress.

CAIR is not associated with Hamas, CAIR does not condone any kind of violence, they are very outspoken against terrorism.

And they encourage Muslims to intern in Washington, so that there may be a Muslim presence there to stop just these kinds of attacks.

The right, when attacking CAIR and other Muslims, always come down to “well why haven’t you ever come out against terrorism”.

The answer is pretty simple, we have.

My question is “when are you going to start listening”.

Ever since 9/11/2001 Muslims in America, and around the world, have been coming out against terrorism. The date today is 10/25/2009.

How many more times do you want us to say it? Pretty soon my answer will just be “F@CK YOU!”

There are politicians in Washington calling Muslims into their office and asking them about their place in the secret plan to infiltrate and influence Washington.

If I was the intern or staff member being asked about my loyalty, after having already attained the position and working along side other Americans, I would let the “ghetto” in me out.

Muslim does not mean terrorist.

Why don’t you repeat that enough times so that you leave these ridiculous accusations in the trenches of your mind and never vocalize them?

Not unless you want to be hated on in return, Congressmen.

This book and its accusations are not new. These accusations have been around since 9/11, when all of a sudden Islam was introduced to the rest of the nation that was largely ignorant about the religion.

It is now 8 years later and I’m sick of the people who still haven’t learned that Americans that are Muslims are still Americans.

That the U.S. troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq have Muslims among them, so does the FBI, CIA, INS and every other law enforcement organization.

Not only do Muslims speak out against terrorism, we fight terrorism as well, along side non-Muslim Americans.

The sickest part about this attack on a Muslim organization is that it was all a media stunt to sell the book.

These Congressmen sent no official request for the investigation. They just talked about it in front of news cameras and sent in no formal request.

The Congresswoman, Sue Myrick (R-NC), wrote the foreword to this book. One of the other Congressmen listed this book, and others, as recommend reading on the topic during the press conference.

Myrick’s been on CNN and Fox News discussing her accusations and calling for the Department of Justice to look into it, but still there is no formal written request made to the DOJ.

This is purely a smear campaign against Muslims and CAIR, to sell books and fear monger to those who are ignorant on the topic.

I’ve written numerous times on World News Daily and that sort of right wing media, and usually get told that they only represent a very extreme minority and I shouldn’t worry about it.

That extreme minority is taken seriously when it is you they are attacking. That extreme minority is then given credibility when Fox News airs a news story justifying their racist claims and when Congressmen do the same by holding press conferences about the latest book that is trying to legitimize the racist claims.

They think I am a possible terrorist because of my religion.

I have been told by people on Allvoices that the Christian Americans just don’t trust Muslim Americans and that we need to prove ourselves as being “true Americans”.

I will prove myself…in the words of many Americans, “F@ck you and the horse you rode in on. Go sit on a pole.”

Racism alive and propering.

A80, would you feel better if an atheist came out against your views? You always inject Christians into your babblings. You seem to have a hate for us. Your language tells a lot about your true character.

I don't consider you a terrorist, just a lunatic fringe type. You always, have to blame someone else in your rants. I imagine your heating bill is fairly low in the winter time around your house, with all the hot air coming from your mouth.

The people that wrote the book that I'm talking about are Christians.

The people that told me they don't trust Muslim Americans...Christians. The Christian told me that other Christians don't trust Muslim Americans and that they need to prove themselves.

I paraphrased what one Christian said about the other Christians, in America.

So what does that say about my "true character"?

I like to quote people who say stupid sh!t.

When a Jewish person comes out and tries to blasts me then I'll write about what the Jewish person did.

And when an atheist tries to bad mouth me, then I'll write about the atheists.

You have anything to say about the article besides the fact that Christians on this site have told me that I need to prove my loyalty, and me calling them out on it?

You know for a person that has made the accusation that Muslims don't come out against terrorism...I thought maybe you wouldn't have commented on this article...talk about true character.

"You always inject Christians into your babblings. You seem to have a hate for us"

My response to that has already been written in this article:

"This book and its accusations are not new. These accusations have been around since 9/11, when all of a sudden Islam was introduced to the rest of the nation that was largely ignorant about the religion.

"It is now 8 years later and I’m sick of the people who still haven’t learned that Americans that are Muslims are still Americans."

"Muslim does not mean terrorist.

"Why don’t you repeat that enough times so that you leave these ridiculous accusations in the trenches of your mind and never vocalize them?

"Not unless you want to be hated on in return, Congressmen."

Just change "Congressmen" to non-Muslim Americans.
