GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!

This story really happened. It will make you sick to your stomach, it will make you angry, it will make you sad. It really isn't just for the strong, but the weak also. In fact it's so true, that all the names of the guilty have been deleted.

This man had been sentenced to death in a far country, no one in his home land bothered to write the head of state or the governor or leader of this country. They probably thought it would be futile. The information highway was non-existent in this area of the world, even though they were far more advanced than most.

At the sentencing of this man, which some thought to be innocent, he did not have any one to stand and represent him or his cause. There was no high dollar lawyer, no representation at all. He was brought before every level of judge, their system had to offer.

In our society today, a prisoner can't be brought before a jury of their peer's in handcuffs because this might make them appear or look guilty. This poor man had all ready been beaten by order of the governor, who's over this territory.

The beating he endured lasted for hours, it is said that it was so horrific that the flesh had been ripped off his back and even his beard had been torn from his face. They used cat-a-nine tails for the whipping, that had claws from a lion tied to the end of each strip of leather as to make the pain and torment last for day's even after the beating was over. They mocked him and spit on him.

When these men were through with this punishment, they dragged him, literally back in front of the local leader or judge, so he could be sentenced. As if the beating wasn't enough, I'll have you know, this man would not say a word in his own defence. The leader ask him over and over to say something and he wouldn't. So he was fed up with his attitude and sentenced him to death.

In this part of the world, the death sentence was carried out right away, there is no court of appeals, no final delay in judgement, you were sent directly to the executioner. The choice of death was not legal injection or electrocution, but nailed to a cross. The nails were 6 to 8 inches long, the arms were stretched across the cross beam and pulled tight. These nails were nailed into the wrist, because the tendon that runs up to the shoulders needed to be cut, so that it would be excruciating pain and you could not use your arms while hanging to ease off the back muscles so breathing would easier.

Breathing was very diffucult, if possible at all. Most died within minutes of the cross being dropped into the hole that would hold it vertical. Before they did this, they would fip the cross over, so the man was laying face down with the cross laying on his back and hammer the nails, so to bend them so they want come out. Very painful.

Then they would cross your feet and run one nail through both feet so you literally hang from the cross. According to science, the human body holds a little under 3.5 litres (1 Gallon) of blood. He would have lost most of his blood in the beating. That's why when the soldier pierced his side water flowed from the wound, not to mention that's what was said would happen 100's of years earlier.

He endured this pain while hanging on the cross for around 3 hours, then he gave up the ghost and died. Aren't you glad the story didn't end there. This man was innocent, never proven guilty because there was not guilt to prove.

This man named JESUS was and is the risen Saviour, no matter what this world says. One day he will represent you at your judgement. If you have accepted him.
