It is about possible increase in tourist traffic to the Venice of the East, it is with regard to bumper crops of almonds! The almond enclave of Srinagar, well known picnic spot of the valley, is being spruced up to welcome tourists. Thanks to the presence of bees and other positive happenings like a proper mix of rain, sunshine and snowfall, the yield of almonds has been applauded by one and all. Kashmir, once famous for its shikaras and the Dal Lake has been ravaged by violence and, the most favored travel spot had been seeing reduced tourists. However, the crop of almonds will certainly bring back the vanishing smiles.
