LANDIKOTAL: 95 percent people of FATA termed the controversial Kerry Lugar bill useless and interference in the country’s affairs,
Through the JI ballot polled all the day made it clear that KLB would put many restrictions on nation if lawmakers accepted blindly, JI leaders said on Friday.
Most of the people participating, in Khyber, Kurum, Bajaur, North and South, Malakand, Dara Adamkhel and Mohmand tribal agencies, in the Jamaat-e-Islami’s country-wide referendum on Kerry-Lugar Law (KLB) and the US agenda, rejected the KLB and alleged American intervention in the country’s affairs.
The participants at large number “wholly solely” rejected the bill said no to the KLB and the suspected US government for in vain intervention in the sovereign state affairs. The JI leaders, volunteers and workers organized the polling camps across the country in FATA at the major public places, and the referendum was held peacefully, however, police in some cities removed some of polling stations. Separate polling stations and booths were set up for women while at some places the polling was stopped before time after the ballot papers ran short.
The referendum was started early Friday morning which ended 6pm at evening, followed by large rallies in all the major cities. Three polling camps were set up in Landikotal bazaar. A big rally held in Lahore was led by Ameer Syed Munawwar Hasan, which stepped from Masjid Shuhada and ended at Faisal Chowk. The mass murder of the innocent Jamia Hafsa girls and the legalizing of loot and plunder of public money through the NRO. Ji leaders also gave called for protest day against the Indian hand in terrorism in Pakistan and the covering up of the fact by the Pakistani government. JI leaders claimed that foreign hands were involved in the ongoing terrorism in Pakistan.

JI Central vice-president warned US security agency to leave the country earlier before they were attacked and would face dire consequences. This he said while talking to reporters in Peshawar after he polled vote in country-wide referendum. The Jamaat-e-Islami Leader threatened to besiege the offices of Blackwater if the US security agency tried to take action against any person in the Frontier province. “We warn the private American security agency to stop its activities in Pakistan,” Jamaat-e-Islami Central Vice-President Sirajul Haq said.Zarnoor Afridi,JI deputy secretary general NWFP led the rally in Landikotal said that Pakistani government are blind folded receiving poison in sweets.Zarnoor urged the public to come out and stage legal protest against the KLB at any floor.”We are the self-made nation and will not accept this kind of slavish money, we can not sale our honour, integrity and soreignty”,Zarnoor added.
