PESHAWAR: The outlet Militants in NWA reportedly restricted the entry of foreign journalists into the North and South Waziristan Agency, sources said.

The Militants alleging most of the outsiders were spreading propaganda against them rather, they accused foreign media, publishing facts and figures. “Majority of the reporters coming from outside spread disinformation about this place which has forced us to ban their entry into the area,” the militants said in a statement on Friday.

“We gave respect the media men, but wish to warn them in advance against coming to North Waziristan for coverage of the displaced people or the operation in South Waziristan,” said the statement released by Ahmadullah Ahmadi, a spokesman for Pakistani Taliban commander for North Waziristan, Hafiz Gul Bahadar. Journalists who violated the ban would be dealt with in accordance with the Taliban ‘rules and regulations’ and their equipment would be confiscated by the Taliban, said the statement. After the launching a massive military operation” Rah-e-nejat” thousands of tribesmen had been displaced to the lower safer zones of NWFP who still not adjusted in the camps for IDPs.
