Are Mehsud Taliban and Al Qaeda Muslims?
The answer is no.
Muslims do not attack educational institutions. Muslims do not commit suicide.
Mehsud Taliban under Al Qaeda instructions carried out two suicide bombings at the International Islamic University in the Pakistani capital Islamabad killing four and injuring over a dozen students including girls. Prophet Mohammad has emphasized that all should acquire knowledge even if one has to go to China. (In that period about 1500 years ago, China was a far of land)
Islam does not allow disrespect or desecration of any religion or place of worship.
These so called Muslims have bombed mosque and even funeral processions and gatherings.
Mark Levine who is a history professor at University of California, Irvine and currently a visiting professor at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University, Sweden had visited The International Islamic University Islamabad in 2007 and have had detailed exchange of view with the faculty and the students. Mark Levine has commented on the University blasts in Pakistan and the future of Islam and this commentary have been published in the October 23, 2009 edition of the Christian Science Monitor at the link below:
