Unfortunately for Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, this saga seems like that it will not be ending anytime soon. Washoe District Court Judge Brent Adams refused a motion to throw out a lawsuit accusing 'Big Ben' of raping a Harrah's Casino hotel employee in one of Harrah's hotel rooms. The judge also refused a sanction on the woman's lawyer for pursuing the case without sufficient evidence. Therefore, the lawsuit will continue to drag on throughout this NFL season.

The lawsuit seeks for at least $440,000 from Roethlisberger and $50,000 from Harrah's in regards to the sexual assault incident which occurred in July of 2008. Hey Big Ben, why don't you just pay her off and settle out of court just like all of the other athletes do when they are sued by women for sexual assault?

Why do these athletes need to rape women. Especially in Vegas, he could of just bought a woman.

Atheletes have above average physical talent and not above average intellectual talent.

It's just an unfortunate situation. So many kids look up to these athletes. They're supposed to be role models.

I hope to God he really didn't rape this woman. But I also hope the lady isn't just "making up some lame story" just to get some $$ from this ballplayer, like some women do.. I wanna know; what REALLY HAPPENED in that hotel room?
  • Posted By ahol888 ahol888 | about 1 month ago
We will definitely find out since the court case wasn't thrown. This case is weird because both sides have been so sketchy. The woman waited for an entire year before taking this to court. Every time they ask Ben about the incident, he doesn't comment and says that he only wants to talk about football. The NFL is supposed to come down pretty harsh on players breaking the off the field policy, yet the league has said nothing about this incident.

LOL, mattydog122.. are you from Dallas?\\ yeah, anyway, why the heck did this lady wait a WHOLE YEAR to report anything?? THAT, to me, is asking for trouble. If something THAT BAD happened to you, why are you going to let it sit for a whole year? duhhhh..what was going through her mind? was she thinking about what to say? How she was going to defend herself so that she looks like the "perfect victim"? Was her life threatened in any way? I mean, golly, man, I need answers on this.
  • Posted By ahol888 ahol888 | about 1 month ago
Well, she said that she was coerced by her employer, Harrah's, not to report it or she would lose her job. That sort of sounds plausible since this happened at a hotel/casino and since the judge didn't throw the case out.
