Saudi Arabia is a very wealthy country because they produce lots and lots of oil... Bolivia may very well be on the way to becoming the next "wealthy" country because they have 50-70% of the world's "Lithium..."

Lithium is a soft white mineral that has a number of uses. It's used as a mood stabilizer in drugs, it's used as a rocket propellant , it's used to make heat resistant glass - but more recently it's used in batteries...

Lithium is rapidly becoming the preferred battery for laptops, cell phones and now - batteries for electric cars... The demand for lithium is projected to triple in the next 15 years - which translates into lots and lots of $$$...

Bolivia also has huge amounts of natural gas and natural energy in the form of geysers.
The South-West near Uyuni is a very volcanic active area.
There are many opportunities for natural gas and energy.

The only problem is that this area is also very popular with tourists.
The building of infrastructure and "factories" to develop this energy will impact on the environment greatly.
Currently the South-West of Bolivia is completely unspoiled.

However, Bolivia badly needs the money for its economy since it is arguably the poorest South American country with the most unstable government in the region.

we need to consider the environmental impact on this one and still find renewable sources of energy to avoid the impact incase these push through
