A new study done of identical twins shows the dramatic effect our good and bad habits can have on our looks. In the photo, identical twins Jeanne (left), and Susan (right), 61, is a good example. If you click on the article, you'll get a much better view of the two.
Susan averaged a pack and a half of cigarettes every day for sixteen years, but did give up smoking in her late 30's. She also worshipped the sun. Twin sister Jeanne never smoked and avoided the sun.
Jeanne comments in an Allure magazine article, "Susan looks ten years older than I do. In fact, when we meet new people, I'll say she's my sister, but I never say she's my twin."
According to a new research published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, smoking, drinking alcohol, stress levels and sun exposure all have an impact on how old you look. Some sets of identical twins looked many years apart in age due to bad habits.
Most of us should not be surprised by these findings. I might add, getting the right amount of sleep and proper nutrition is helpful to the skin.
