MBA students take to robbery

Education paves the way for a better future and a clean way of life – but, when young men who are pursuing Degree courses in Business Management decide to go in for armed robbery in city malls, it is obvious that things are not good with society. A gang of half a dozen MBA students have been arrested before they could commit the robbery. Sophisticated weapons have been recovered from their possession. Earlier, a gang of students studying engineering had been similarly arrested – they had specialized in busting ATMs. The reasons for these youths to stoop to crime can be traced to the lavish lifestyles that they see regularly in movies and the aggressive marketing of the good things of life by the media. These marketing strategies add fuel to the simmering fire of discontent and desires and embarking on a career of robbery and theft is one of the methods they adopt.
