The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood Reclaiming Childhood (CCFC) announced today that the Walt Disney Company is now offering refunds on their popular 'Baby Einstein' DVDs after the group complained about Disney's claims that the DVDs were educational for babies.

In 2006, a Federal Trade Commission complaint for false and deceptive marketing resulted in Disney removing any claims that the DVDs were educational for infants. The complaint to the FCC was made by the CCFC, who quoted the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines for no television for children under the age of 2.

Now the CCFC is claiming that they put enough pressure on the Disney Company to result in full refunds being offered to anyone who has purchased a 'Baby Einstein' DVD in the past 5 years.
