DAWN news channel reported about an ambush that took place near a residential area in the capital,Islamabad.

Brigadier Moin-udin Ahmed, who was deputy force commander of the United Nations Mission in Sudan(UNMIS) was targeted along with his driver by insurgents riding on a motor bicycle.The Brigadier was on vacation in Islamabad

Mr.Kouider Zerrouk, the spokesman of the mission told Reuters that all were in deeply shocked to hear the sad news.

In the meantime all illegal Afghans living in Islamabad have been asked to leave the capital ,Islamabad by an announcement by Rehman Malik, the Interior Minister of Pakistan.
