Right before an interview on CNN with veteran anchor, Wolf Blitzer last Thursday, the Henne family settles in while Mr. Blitzer says his hello's to everyone. Falcon looks up at his father and suddenly blurts out, "Who the h--- is Wolf?" while everyone laughs.
I don't find this funny one bit.
I really don't find it funny when professionals like Anderson Cooper and the other reporters at the studio laughed along at this child who just disrespected an adult.
Cursing in any form is not cool; whether it's from an adult or a child. Oh sure, it's a form of how people express themselves, right?
People laughed because it came out a child's mouth. So therefore it's FUNNIER because a CHILD said it? Was it one of those "kids-say-the-darnest-things" moments that the parents just nervously laughed along with because they didn't know how else to react or did they just laugh because it was funny. Perhaps in this family, EVERYTHING is a joke. Perhaps in this family, a child cursing isn't a big deal, it's normal. They probably curse to each other all the time and don't think twice about it.
People want to know "what's going on with our youth?" I'll tell ya what's going on--LACK OF DISCIPLINE with the parents. It's not cute or funny when your child openly disrespects another person. It's not cute when your child curses, especially when they are addressing an adult or speaking about another adult.
I tell you what. If I had the nerve to do what Falcon did when I was a kid, I'd be getting a slap right across my face and my mom or dad would NOT HESITATE to let me know THAT WAS THE WRONG THING TO SAY.
Some children just have to learn how to keep their mouths shut and just sit still. Falcon has yet to learn that concept. Look, I'm sorry he got sick on the other interview with Meredith Viera on ABC but seriously, it all comes down to parenting.
Good children are a REFLECTION of the parents.
