oprah for Obama

Deciding to go on the Oprah Winfrey Show after being brushed aside last year for fear of hurting Barack Obama's chances of becoming POTUS, Sarah Palin shows you what type of person she is. Unforgiving, professional, fearless, and smart. With her popularity as high as it's ever been, she could have brushed Oprah aside this time around instead of adding millions of viewers to her stagnant ratings.

Oprah Winfrey will undoubtedly capitalize off the back of Sarah Palin and her show will receive a tremendous boost and probably turn out to be her most watched show of the year. Mark on your calendar, Nov. 16th will be her most watched show.

Sarah Palin does not need to go on Oprah to sell her best seller. It has broken all records all on it's own. Oprah needs Sarah to come on her show to boost her sagging ratings. Funny how things work out.

With this in mind, what will Oprah ask Palin that will try to demean her? What uncomfortable question will she dare ask Palin? Does Oprah want to hear Palin's honest opinion about the President?

If I were Sarah Palin, this would be one of the requirements for going on the show - that she gets to grade the President on everything from the economy to the Foreign Policy. I would not stand there and sit back and let Oprah sidestep the issues.

I don't want to hear about her daughter's break-up or whether her husband is good in bed or what is the one thing she hates most about John McCain. I want to hear her ask revealing questions about her views on Healthcare, Amnesty, Abortion, Gun Control, Foreign Policy Energy Independence and the high unemployment.

So Oprah, do us all a favor. In return for the meteoric increase in your ratings that will take place as a result of Sarah Palin coming on your show, can you unleash Sarah and let her tell it like it is? I know Halloween is right around the corner, but please stay away from the Katie Couric impersonation.

What would you want Oprah to ask Sarah?

Sarah Palin will really shine - I am certain. AND.. I hope that she puts to rest her critic's claim of her being "dumb." If OW does not ask her the tough questions - it would be a great time for Palin to blast back questions of her own..."Op, you came out in support of the Big O ... do you still feel the love!?"

Not sure anyone has every called her "Op." Is that with a long O or a short one, like Op-ed?

long O as in slope.

Are you crazy. This is pure business and marketing. What other show could Sarah Palin go on that gets more exposure than Oprah? Why wouldn't Oprah put her on the show know what the ratings will be? Don't think so hard about it. It's about selling books - which Palin will do by the truck load - and getting eyeballs - which Oprah gets by the millions. Either way, their both rich and will be that much more richer after the show...

enawemag,

It is pure business & marketing now, but a year ago when Sarah Palin was trying to get on her show, Oprah played politics and did not allow her to come on for fear of ruining Barack Obama's run to be POTUS. She basically took away an audience of millions of woman who may have voted for her.

Is that why Palin never made it to the Oprah show last year, or was it cause Oprah came out in support for Obama?

If Sarah Palin is "unforgiving" why is she on Oprah after being snubbed last year?

Palin's popularity is high as ever? that's not what the polls say, considering that polls are a pretty good way of measuring popularity. but who knows maybe her popularity's gone up since the last poll taken.

Really. An unemployed person, Palin, doesn't need the billionaire Oprah. It's the billionaire Oprah that need the unemployed.

Oprah just had the one of the biggest ratings this season. have you researched to see how she with the season's premiere or did you just go by last years numbers? When people were more into the election.

I really doubt Oprah's ratings are sagging...

I doubt that Sarah Palin or Oprah had much to do with the booking, because that is handled by publicists.

Oprah is one of the richest women in America and Palin got a 10 million dollar advance for her book, "Going Rogue", so it's doubtful that either one is hurting financially.

The show will get big ratings. The Republicans will watch, because she has become their little darling--and the Democrats will watch to see what new tidbits of ignorance will come out of her mouth, which invaribly happens when she is off script. "I can see Russia from my house."

So this is actually a boost for Ms. Oprahs' show

Shirley,

It can't hurt her ratings. Sarah Palin's appearance will most likely help out Oprah more than it will Palin. It's curious to have her come on the show after Oprah snubbed her last year. WHile Oprah's show is still very popular I understand her ratings were down somewhat.

I don't even watch Oprah, but common sense 101 says that it was and is all about marketing, during the campaign and now.

Obviously,Sarah Palin didn't take it personally. Now, she has the juicy prospect of promoting her book on a highly rated (yes, Oprah's ratings are high) day time talk show--so why the rip job on Oprah?

I would want Oprah Winfrey to ask Sarah Palin about the idiots that were in the McCain campaign? That Eli Manning looking troll Tucker Bounds is a scrub. More questions need to be asked about the McCain campaign because they clearly handled Sarah Palin incorrectly by not allowing her to express to the nation who she truly was since she was new on the national scene. However, I know that Oprah will only ask her about what she likes to eat and what she likes to cook; it will be all about food.

I would also want Oprah to ask Sarah Palin about that idiot Levi Johnston. I hope somebody is reading books to that love child on a daily basis because those dumb genes of his must be rather dominant in that baby.

I think some folks on the right just lose all common sense when it comes to Palin. Just maybe Palin doesn't need Oprah to sell books but if you're going to sell a book and can get on Oprah to talk about, you do it. And if you're Oprah, you certainly want the "writer" of a book that is going to sell millions to come on your show to discuss said book. These are two rich women doing what what comes natural: making moves to stay rich.

I think it's another exposure for Oprah's show at all
