Women applicants protest against irregularities in SMRU Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL:Women applicants, applying for computerize identity cards Wednesday staged a protest against the irregularities in small mobile registeration unit(SMRU) in Landikotal.

The women,who came to apply for CNIC alleged the watchman and Khasadar at the gate and few of the SMRU employees in Landikotal, that only those applicants who could pay money as bribe get CNIC on time.They allged the employees of charging extra amount of three to five hundreds rupees for early process of their application.sources in the NADRA said that some of the employees were taking Rs.1300-1600 for urgent CNIC as the government fee for the urgent CNIC is Rs.1000.The SMRU employees are not behave in good manner with the women as there was no female employee in the office.Several poor women who said that they were coming for the last one week but could not complete the process yet.Addin, they always remain in queue all the day and go back to home.The protesting women demanded of the high officials to deploy female staff and transfer the male empoyees.According to statistical data, ninety-three percent women in Landikotal are still have no CNIC which would be processed to bring them into the main stream.
