Handout of director Spike Jonze on set of Where the Wild Things Are"

I recently saw the Spike Jonze film "Where the Wild Things Are" Before hand I knew it was either going to be boring, or leave me crying like a little baby.

The movie was terrible, Spike Jonze completely ignored the basics for any story, which is including a conflict. There was no major conflict, thus there was no resolution, thus left me feeling cheated when I left the theatre.

To make matters worse the dialog was similar to listening to two dislexic five-year-olds trying to talk to one another. I wasn't expecting the most highly of intellegent dialog between Max and the wild things, but atleast coherent.

The set up of the movie was great, there was a lot of good directions the film could have gone, one of them would be similar to "Never Ending Story" Max could have had to save the island from turning completely into sand and eventually dust, but it didn't. That whole piece in the movie of that discussion bettween Carol and Max was completely pointless.

The only thing Spike Jonze succeeded in was making me go "what the hell?!" when the credits started rolling. The ending infact seemed cut short as well, similar to the ending to the series of the Sopranos.
