As a fan of rhythm and blues music, including neo-soul, it is my duty to fill you in on the Maxwell BLACKsummer Night's Tour experience...kudos to Maxwell for adding the Los Angeles date at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, Oct. 16th, 2009.
Also, big thumbs up on opening acts Chrisette Michele and Common...also have seen them in concert numerous times...Chrisette is underrated and her debut cd is off the chains!
Weather was perfect for some intimate time with Maxwell at the Bowl, although traffic was terrible, and the concert seemed a bit short...I know we enjoyed every single harmony sung and accented by Maxwell and his great band and back-up singers.
