The typhoon is named Ramil in the Philippines and Lupit internationally. Somehow every typhoon seems to have an international and Philippine name! Some areas have not recovered from the last typhoon, Pepeng, and this storm at present is tracking along roughly the same path. Sections of Manila are still flooded from the first of the three typhoons. It is always possible that the storm will change direction but as it is now it could inflict even more damage and with the ground saturated more mudslides.
UPDATE: Lupit or Ramil is now scheduled to land in Northern Luzon on Friday (Thursday in Norther America)
