A Facebook page about Auschwitz is
back on the social networking site after it appeared to have been
removed.
Today the Facebook page of the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau
was back on the website.
The five hour disappearance of the page, which was launched on Tuesday,
has been blamed on a "technical problem" by museum officials.
Messages have been left in English, Hebrew and Polish on the site.
Museum spokesman Pawel Sawicki said Facebook was currently the best way
to reach young people around the globe.
The Facebook page offers information but also an opportunity for
discussion, with the participation of the museum staff.
The museum also has its own YouTube site.
The Nazis killed some one million people in Auschwitz, mostly Jews.
