Raped from the age of five
This is the sad story of a girl who was repeatedly raped by her own family comprising her step father, step uncle and step cousin. When she became pregnant at 14-years of age, her abusers locked her in a cupboard so that the outside world would not know. After the delivery of the baby, the family passed it off as their own. She was then sent to India for an arranged marriage!!! The perpetrators of this horrendous crime have been sentenced to 15 to 20 years – they would be deported to India once they serve out the sentences. The girl is now 27 years old.
