1.Introduction.

A long time ago along with cultivated herbs people used wild herbs for meal on.

They are used to make food .

Different herbs parts are eaten raw,or preserved,salted.

Wild herbs contain healthy needful elements we need –vitamins and organic acids.

Some wild herbs are even more healthy than a cultivated plants.

People in our country use wild herbs in drinks,soups,pancakes,etc.

Wild herbs are gathered from early spring to late autumm.

Avoid cooking herbs if you have a poor knowledge of them!

Some wild herbs may look like poisonous ones!

Avoid gathering near trains,stations.

Be careful-some herbs cause allergies,thus ask your doctor advice.

2.Wild herbs as a meal.

Puree from Butomus umbellatus L.

200 gr.roots herb.

50 gr.onion.

50 gr.sorrel.

Salt,pepper for taste.

Cook it is washed roots for 20 minutes,mince meat,add cut sorrel,roast onion,salt,pepper,cook till ready.

Serve as a meat dressing or,as a individual meal.

Willow herb soup.

100 gr.fresh herb.

100 gr.nettle.

100 gr.sorrel.

200 gr.potato.

10 gr.carrot.

40 gr.onion.

20 gr.margarine.

½ egg.

20 gr.fromage.

Salt,spicy for taste.

Add green for scald for 2 min.

Then add sieve,shred and stew in fat.

Cut carrot,and onion roast.

Add potato,green,in boiled water and cook till it s ready.

Ten min.to end add salt,spicy.

Egg and fromage add.

When the soup is ready .

Chicory salad.

200 gr.young shoots of chicory.

10 gr.margarine.

And salt if you want.

Wash chicory,cut in small pieces,stew in margarine for ,in,add salt,cool,sprinkle petroselum.

Soup from a burdock net leaf.

300 gr.leafs.

80 gr.onion.

40 gr.rice.

40 gr.fat.

200 gr.potato.

Salt,pepper for taste.

Wash and cut potato,cook rice.

Cut leafs and roasted onions,add in soups before serving.

Stewing Aegopodium with potato.

100 gr.fresh herb.

100 gr.potato.

15 gr.onion.

1 gr.dill.

15 gr.tomato sauce.

15 gr.fromage.

Salt for taste.

Shred leafs and young shoots of herbs ,add salt,stew to half-ready,add stewed potato,onion,add fromage,stew 15 min,add dressing.

Nettle rolls.

100 gr.nettle.

200 gr.millet porridge.

20 gr butter.

Salt.

Scald nettle,rub,cook in boiled water for three min,cut,add porridge,form rolls,and bake in form,spreaded with butter.

Borago salad.

50 gr.borago leafs.

50 gr.canned pepper.

50 gr.sauerkraut.

7 gr.oil.

Cut washed herb,add pieces of pepper,cabbage,dress oil.

Potentilla green soup.

150 gr.potentilla leafs.

50 gr.sorrel.

5 gr.carrots.

5 gr.petroselum.

20 gr.green onion.

5 gr.millet flour.

10 gr .butter.

½ egg.

15 gr.fromage,bay leaf,salt,pepper.

Boil leafs for 3 min.

Mince meat ,stew in butter 15 min.

Cut carrot ,petroselum,roast onion in butter.

Add herbs and vegetables,onion,cook for 25 min.

Add white sauce,bay leaf,pepper,pink,sorrel,fromage.

Porridge from tubers Sagittaria.

200 gr.tubers of herbs,one glass of milk,one tbl.sp.sugar,salt.

Cook tubers in salted water for 5 min,clean,to mince meat.

Add glass of milk,sugar in puree,and cook till it s ready.

Dandelion salad.

100 gr.of dandelion leafs.

50 gr.green onion.

25 gr.petroselum.

15 gr.butter,salt,vinegar,pepper,dill,1 egg.

Scald leafs in salted water for 30 min,cut.

Add cut petroselum,onion,butter,mix,sprinkle dill,decorate with a hardboiled egg.

Allium for pies.

500 gr.herb.

100 gr.rice.

2 eggs.

Butter,salt,pepper.

Cook rice,add cut leafs allium.

Rub hard-boiled eggs,add rice,herb,butter,salt,spices,water.

Use a yeast pastry for baking pies.

3.Medical indications.

Buttomus umbellatus.

Muscle spasms,digestive disorders,aches,colitis,gastritis,gum bleed.

Willow herb.

Headaches,sedative,ulcers,gastritis,colitis.

Chicory.

Inflamed thin and thick intestines,gall bladder,kidneys,spllen,skin.

Aegopodium.

Urine and kidney bladder inflamed,rheumatism,exudative diathesis,joint aches,fungoid skin.

Nettle or urtica dioca L.

Anemia,bronchitis,weakness,aches,alopecia,dandruff.

Borago.

Joint rheumatism,gout,oedemas,gall and urine stones,fears.

Potentilla anserine L.

Digestive spasms,aches,gall stones,colitis,wounds,gum bleed.

Allium victoriale L.

Parasites,indigestions,atherosclerosis.

    @Agrimonia: Thanks Agrimonia, I'll surely wait to read more of your recipes. I really really liked this article. I never knew that herbs could be incorporated as part of one's regular diet, thereby ensuring healthy eating :)
    @Ahol888: I guess depends on the country. In India, you can get them in most local grocery markets, in other places may be you need to specific herbal plant nurseries and purchase the plant and grow them else purchase the roots or leaves from herbal farms. There is one such herbal farm in Karjat in Mumbai in Maharashtra in India, 2 hours away from the place where I stay. That guy has en estate full of exotic herbs cultivated there :)

    in brown rice add 1/2 cup broth chiken,add 1 cup carrot shred,3/4 petals calendula cup,pepper red,spicy mass,mix and in weak fire cook 25 min.
    add cup freeze peas,1/2 cup almond cut,cook 4 min.
    pilaw ready aprinkle 4 tbl.sp.flowers safflower.

    thyme.
    digestive spams,expectorate,ishiasis,diarrhea,meteorism,insomnia,itch,constipated,mouth cavity inflammed.'
    thyme honey.
    with ceramic dish 500 gr honey add on water bath,inliqiod kind add 30 twigs thyme with flowers,turn off fire,in 10 min cool,infuse honey week,twigs remove.
    jelly thyme-grape.
    in enamel dish boil wine 1 cup Sowion,add in wine 30 twigs thyme,infuse hour,and wine evaporate in two time in weak fire.
    in pan grind grapes 1.5 kg black.
    3 apples clean,cut pieces,add to grape.
    add cup sugar,water to cover wine,apples.
    1 hour cook in weak fire,cool,filter,add 2 cup sugar,evaporated wine,1 packet Quittin,5 min cook in mix.
    aDD in sterilized jars and close.

    stew kinds.
    in pan roast in olive oil onion,2 grind garlic,add 400 gr green beans pieces,1/4 cup green thyme,200 gr water,stew in fire weak.
    1/2 cup add flowers beans,mix.

    potato in flowers.
    4 potato cook,cool,cut.
    in pan roast 1 tbl.sp.butter oil,1 tbl.sp.olive,add potato,1/2 cup flowers red bean kidney,roast to ready ruddy potato,add on a dish,sprinkle 1/2 flowers fresh beans.

    beans eat in sugar diabetes,low cholesterol,useful for heart,constipations,less calories,much ferum.

    dill.
    pyelonephritis,kidney stones,cold,breath,swell belly,insomnia,pus skin.
    canape with smoked salmon.
    2 tbl.sp.ready mustar mix,5 tea.sp.sugar.1 tea.sp.vinegar,1/2 cup nut oil,2 tbl.sp.flowers dill,shake all,do sandwish with smoked salmon,fish slightly grease sauce and sprinkle dill flowers.

    fennel.
    spasms digestive,bronchitis,mouth cavity inflammed,throat,low lactation.
    in pan mix 1/2 cup chiken broth,1 tbl.sp.tomatoe paste,1 tbl.sp.olive oil,lead to boil.
    add cauliflower 1,infloresceces selected on,10 inflorescences fennel,mix ,cook 15 min to softening cauliflower.
