A suicide attacker detonated a car bomb at a police investigation cell in Pakistan's Peshawar city killing at least 11 people and injuring 16 others. The blast severely damaged the police building and destroyed several vehicles, local TV channels reported. The latest incident happened a day after a blast in a government residential colony in Peshawar that killed a child and injured 12 others. Pakistani law enforcement agencies have taken 36 suspects into custody in connection with the terror attacks in Lahore yesterday.
The US today condemned a spate of terror attacks in Pakistan and said it is committed to help Islamabad to root out terrorist and extremist elements within its territory. White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton said, the attacks show once again that the militants in Pakistan threaten both Pakistan and the United States. He said everything that's happening in the region is a part of the ongoing assessment by Obama on finding a right strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
