It’s amazing how little the public or in fact the American government knows about the enemy they are fighting in Afghanistan. Since the beginning of the assault on Afghanistan, the number one face that posterized the war was Osama bin Laden. However, recently a new face has emerged to the world and perhaps one that is much more dangerous than that of Osama bin Laden; that being Mustafa al-Yazid.
Even though Mustafa al-Yazid may not be as familiar to most Americans, he in fact is now known for running the terrorist movement's operations in Afghanistan for the Taliban regime. Mr. al-Yazid has recently been linked to a planned attack in New York and details have yet to be released to the public. Mustafa as most terrorist do, consider the United States to be the worst thing to ever inhabit the Earth and has often been quoted as calling America an “evil empire” that’s sole and utter purpose is attack and make Muslim’s lives a living hell.
As an American and an interested global citizen it is getting rather old the excuses these terrorist’s come up with to justify there mass murder and killing of innocent people. It’s funny and fascinating that these so called religious people and followers of Mohammad use the words of the Koran to poison other’s minds to follow in their footsteps. Countless terrorists have cited particular verses from within the Koran that they believe give them the right to kill and murder innocent people, especially Americans when in fact the Koran says little to nothing about pointlessly killing of innocent human beings.
Its amazing how some people can simply be filled with so much hate and disregard for a certain people that there whole life becomes consumed in that hatred and purpose. This is not the first time we have seen this as it has been a reoccurring theme throughout the history of the world. We see cases of mass murder and genocide on a daily basis in our newspapers and magazines, whether it was the Civil War in America, genocide in Rwanda, Nazi Germany, Bosnia, or now within the walls of Africa it seems that it will never end. What we need to do is unite and rise up against those few misguided soles and show them that violence does little to nothing to solve problems, but only fuels further hate between people that in fact aren’t all that different in the scheme of things.
