SAN FRANCISCO -- People on the street in San Francisco's Union Square had quite a show to watch as dozens of firefighters battled a smoky fire in a high-rise building.
Fire officials said an electrical fire that started in the basement of an office building around 7 p.m. Wednesday sent smoke into all 11 floors of the building.
About 75 firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze in the building, which houses a Tiffany & Co. jewelry store.
The blaze was contained in less than 30 minutes. No serious damage was reported.
